Medica Centre ( MAMC ) at University New Campus of Mloganzilla.

Health Laboratory Technologist II-2 POSTS

a) Minimum Entry Qualifications
Holder of a Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences from any recognized institution.
Must be registered by the Health Laboratory Practitioners Council.

Duties and Responsiblities

i) Assists in receiving , exracting and recording samples for laboratory examinations.
ii)Assists in preparing laboratory equipment and chemicals for laboratory' tests am examinations.
iii)Assists in inspecting and storing laboratory reagents, equepments and chemicals used in laboratory tests and examinations.
iv)Assts in keeping and maintaining laboratory records.
v)Assists in maintain list of laboratory equipment in the unit.
vi)Caries out laboratory  test and examination samples and recording the results under the supervision on senior laboratory Technology.
vii)Performs any other Duties and the Responsibilities as assigned by his/her superior.

Health Laboratory ScientisT II - 2 POSTS (a) Minimum Entry Qualifications Holder of Bachelor Degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences or Bachelor of Science in J.-; Health Laboratory Sciences or equivalent qualification in relevant field from a recognized i Institution. Registration with competent professional board is mandatory. (b) Duties and Responsibility • Carries out laboratory tests and examinations e.g. Hematology, Parasitology, Microbiology, • Immunology, Blood Group Serology, Entomology, Clinical Chemistry and Histopathology) and Laboratory Research. • Implements chemical security policy in the unit • Conducts laboratory research in order to improve human health. • Develops guidelines on laboratory activities and research. • Coordinates and supervising quality control. • Examines and transferring laboratory samples for further examinations. • Keeps and maintains laboratory equipment and records. • Prepares and submits periodical laboratory reports to the Management. • Performs any other Duties and Responsibilities as assigned by his/her superior.
