Appropriate biosafety practices should be used when handling

manufacturer’s instructions. Every
laboratory should prepare its own method sheet based on the type of kit used
Limitations
If a first test is negative, the test can be
repeated after 5 days.
Store reagents at the correct temperature
according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
Check carefully the expiry dates on the test
kits.
Check that the catalogue numbers on the
reagent containers match the numbers on the kit procedures in the package
insert.

Each laboratory must determine the time
necessary to perform the procedure (turnaround time).
Quality control
